Babel
A thousand tongues cackle on,
championing divergent views;
then hatred comes, a tidal wave,
washing ashore total chaos.
A thousand voices bawl and brawl,
heeding not the other’s words;
each clings to its own beliefs,
and disdains all other ways.
Hatred sings, destruction sways,
still the tongues they shout loudly;
each proffers the remedy,
yet Babel strikes, raiding unchecked!
