Babe

I’m writing this
Before you’ve learned to walk
Let alone learned to talk

You’re growing so fast
We wish for nothing more
Than your health and happiness
Not knowing what the years will bring
We hope to be around
To watch you through the years
Help coach you for
Life’s joys and challenges

With the years
Times change
Priorities evolve
But deep rooted values
They’re here to stay

Grow up to be a good man
Not for anyone else but yourself
Years will fly by
And one day
You’ll look back at your life
And hope you’ll have
Always been good and kind
