AZ to CA to NV

Do you still miss the good times we spent?
I’m emotional to the core, yet you ignore my numbness
I traveled from Arizona to California to Nevada, life’s magnificent
I’m enjoying the sunshine divine so fine more and more, feeling happiness

But, something’s not right
I’m feeling alright
Something’s a bit odd
Everything isn’t black and white as it seems
I’m reliving my broken, unspoken dreams and my heart screams
In joy…in joy…in joy…
I’m a happy-go-lucky boy

The sunshine is hiding behind the clouds today
What’s mine is yours too and come what may
If only…
I wasn’t so lonely
In the summertime
This time

I’m leaving the loneliness of my home in Arizona
I’m heading to the sweet and sour memories of California
And I’m arriving at the wonderfully non-wistful life of Nevada

Losing it daily
My mind racing like a race car in a zoo out of the blue
I’m dancing gaily
I find that my voice is quiet without a darn clue

My headspace is a squirrel with a nut
I go crazy cuz I have a gut instinct that…
I didn’t make the cut in your heart, but…
I show my true colors like a midnight bat
