Away On a Cruise Ship

Written: July 18, 2023 Away In A Manger Contest Re Run Poetry Contest- Sponsored by: JAN ALLISON ______________________________________________________________ Cruising starts the journey Heaven-float, dream ship Worthy of a gurney Surge through blue waves trip Sunlight kisses the deck stoked  sightseer  meet In such a tense wreck Start a long sail treat The ship leaves the land back Each person sees chances Captain wise and skilled track Moves the ship well dances Devoted crews on board Stake one's most comfort Kitchen Chefs' are the lord Night's joy of all sorts Poolside to ballroom dance. Nothing's aye boring. Fun, thrills, limitless chance. Days melt exploring.

Hi Sotto, I'm sorry I had to give you an HM for your poem but I needed the poem to start with 'away and they syllable count and rhyme were a little out especially in stanza 3. Thank you for taking time to enter my contest. I do appreciate it:-) hugs Jan xx

Beautiful experience on a cruise ship... dance and merriment, very friendly crew and able capatain who knows how ro steer the ship in the right direction. What more is needed? So much fun with days melting away ! All the Best dear friend.

It sounds marvelous!. Obviously you are enjoying every minute of it. You have written a wonderful poem for us to read, which will form an epilogue of your travels. The only thing you left out dear friend in this wonderful rhyming chronicle is " wish you all were here" :)

Never been on a cruise, it sounds like lots of fun.My husband a retired navy man always said I wouldn't be able to handle the rocking back and forth.
