Away in the park garden No pale flowers, only bright Where senses sharpen And worries feel light The birds sweetly sing In magnolia trees A chorus with wings Nature sounds appease Chipmunks all scatter Thieves of many seeds With playful fun chatter Now hiding in weeds Bees buzz all around Pollenating flowers Fragrant smells surround Grounds lush with showers

Parks provide a lovely place for people to gather and enjoy nature. A circus provides a service to make people happy. An asylum certainly provides a service! We wrote for the contest, and win or more than likely lose... we are supporting sponsors with every contest we enter. Poop on one who doesn't appreciate our efforts.

I've just read the Sponsor's blog and she mentions the park isn't retail or 'a service' shame as your poem is delightful.

Tania, Sounds like a fun trip to the park, watching the goings on of the critters. Wouldn’t even mind the shower since it’s been so hot here. Heat index of 113 yesterday.
