Away From Harm

The mother and her baby rhino Lay sleeping on dried hay In a sheltered safe enclosure Away from harm’s way. A blanket covering the baby As both are settled in their bed The mothers belly used as a pillow A ranger lays down his head. They will not join the others In the wild savannah as before For there are poachers who will kill Leaving the babies in the gore. We must give a helping hand To Mother Nature in our own way If we want these majestic rhinos To survive for one more day.
