Away

AWAY

By your leave, I now shall go
To a certain place that I know
Please do not be sad, nor grieve
I now shall go, by your leave

I depart, with your permission
It is entirely my own decision
I know it will break my heart
With your permission, I depart

For many years I served you well
Each day at the tolling of the bell
No need for anger, nor any tears
I served you well for many years

My time has come, dear Queen
Now Spring is here, all is green
Good memories, there’ll be some
Dear Queen, my time has come
