Awakening

Calmly you linger
around the edges
of my darkness.
You appear first as
a soft glow.

Ever so gradually
does your brightness come
in a fluent gesture,
and inviting calm.

Awakened
are my senses
as you illuminate
my surroundings.

Alive
do I feel,
as it is bright
and I see.
