Awakening

~ 'tis springtime in the meadow; out here in nature, all is wide awake ~

                                    dawn sun starts to shine 
                                      parasol of yellow yawns ~
                                        black-eyed susan bud 

                                 ah, those lovely april showers 
                                 at long last, blooming flowers!
                                   pollinators go into overdrive 
                              as moribund gardens spring alive.
