Awakening

Awaken me from this dormant hold
Of where darkness often wins the fight
Take me from this prison, sleep
Offer me, what lies there, in the night
I’ve waited for you, very long
Yet, still I wait, asleep I be
Awaken me from this dormant hold
It is your face I wish to see
