Awakened From A Deep Slumber

In a deep slumber
Dreaming of the unknown
Suddenly awakened
I  was startled
My cat beside me
She is fast asleep
She did not awake me
Something did awaken me
It felt like a shape
Laying beside me
I sat up quickly
Searching the bedroom
Looking under the bed
There was nothing seen 
Yet I felt something
I did not sleep
My thoughts were racing
What was it laying
Beside me unseen
Was it a ghost?
if so who was it?
It was eerie
