Awakened
I knew someone once
Who called me to run
Said he’d be there for me
Yet I did not see
The meaning was lost
For I saw the cost
Until I met you
With your eyes so true
We felt the spark
That hit like a dart
No turning around
No cares how it sounds
The emotion that shows
Between us it glows
Envelopes my being
No other worth seeing
Not many could know
Pulses shoot to my toes
I tingle inside
And feel so alive
Awakened it seems
To live in a dream
Where wildest schemes
Come onto the scene
You get me I know
I want in my soul
Be forever as one
Even past our work done
