Awake From a Dream

My hands loose
on the wheel
Darkness in sight
                The road invisible
lanes imaginery,
conscious heavy

As the road ends
so does my touch
                My skin bleeds as
my mind rises
A fury of sounds
distort my screams
I struggle
I fight

Helpless
I glide into the darkness
Begging and pleading...
Crying out to stay
As I vanish
into the night
