Awake

Clear, divine, unsullied, pure.
Such rays of love and affection,
they linger in warmth on me.

We bathe, they sing,
the light amongst the dark.

Mingled, mixed, mutilated, maintained.

I, this shadow of darkness.
You, this ray of sun so bright.
Us, a tragic combination,
surely our stars lie crossed.

Uncouth, depraved,
I am born of blood.
Unfixed, despotic,
you breed vanity.

Yet stay, my lover, stay,
bless me with your warmth.
A chill has grasped my spine,
and threatens to never release.
