Notes About The Poem

Awake

The rope
Is not the snake
My child
Awake!

When we tell lies
Our heart aches
My child
Awake!

It is better to give
Than to take
My child
Awake!

Love glows in our heart
Gods dwelling place
My child
Awake!

Wow. This is superb, classic children's poetry, Seeker. And you know what? -- There's a nursery rhyme contest going right now on the Soup. It's sponsored by Eve Roper. I think that this would be a really great entry. Perhaps you'll look into entering that contest... Hope and Happiness, Gershon

Perhaps this would be out of sync for the contest, not delivering the ‘playful’ touch! Thanks for your encouragement and visit Gershon! :)

Actually I wrote it as a nursery rhyme to address small children on matters which befuddles us adults!
