Await the Storm

The air is heavy with unshed rain.
The temperature's risen several degrees.
The sky is varigated greys.
Storm clouds are all one sees.

You can feel the tension in the air.
A storm is about to break.
The air will not cool until it lets loose
then what a splendid scene it will make.

I await the thunder and lightning,
Mother Nature's powerful show.
I feel it coming in the thick, damp air
as I watch the wind start to blow.

I can see the barometer dropping as I read this fine work. As usual, great descriptiveness and rhyming.
