AVERAGE IMPAIRMENTS

my average impairments
are nonexistent
                     insignificant

humanity without
cognizance remains 
so I will
play my music
to staunch the
blood
and pain

locking out the
seeping breezes that
edge along the 
chambers of my
heart
cool and 
aloof

playing under the same sky
flaunting our insecurities
ignoring the ‘others’ in
their bunch-rumpled coats
evading interruptions
of fears imagined
 
my average impairments
are nonexistent
                     insignificant
