Avadhuta Gita Chapter 5 verse 12
“There is no bondage due to fetters of good and evil qualities. How shall I perform the actions related to death and life? There is only the pure, stainless Being-the same in all. Why dost thou, who art the identity in all, grieve in thy heart?”
Oh hermit, there is no one here,
nor attachments which we hold dear,
since our aliveness is borrowed
by God’s light, which our life does steer.
What we give away is not owed,
although no doubt seeds of love sowed
does enrich the composite whole,
bliss mists paying to God an ode.
Look at existence as one soul,
each entity playing its role,
just as do the actors on stage,
where someone bats and others bowl.
When egoic battles cease to wage,
at peace within, just like a sage,
knowing things are not what they seem,
in stillness we turn a new page.
There are no parts of a moonbeam,
thus we the dreamer in life’s dream,
knowing the truth are never bound,
always free, no sins to redeem.
