Born on an autumn's day Blue skies and butterflies Leaves falling to the ground Hold me under water Teach me how to pray Then I'll be on my way As I lay here in my grave

Debbie, thank you for your comment. I know that you are truthful--it is the politicians who are dishonest. Your poem above fooled me at first. I thought it might be about earthworms until I came to the last line. This twist in short verse takes an educational turn. It is tough to think about our demise, but you bring it forward in a beautiful way that puts life in a natural perspective. We can only hope that our offspring with thrive at least for a while without us.
