Autumn's Arrival

Emerald leaves, tall-standing trees Colourfully, a canopy transforms and unveils Burnt, bold oranges, rich crimsons, and butternut golds Like jewels, they radiate in the September sun Mother Nature gently guides, the leaves obediently perform and persevere The dark hues of their wounded state prepare to succumb I too, need to release the darkness of my wounded heart May the change of seasons remind me that like the leaves, there is a time to glimmer And a time to let go September 18, 2020 @katladyt_
