Autumn Voices

Frame of mind tells as autumn rolls,
Etch a new sketch as days grow short;
Each chill now dwells in a cold toll,
Last surge flings batch as fall hurls taut.

Aim to fit quest as sun beams droop,
Use knows a path where touch can know;
Time works due fest as cold air scoops,
Urge heart to stuff an inner glow;

Meet moments meek where faith sculpts hope,
Note the cold winds that usher change.
Voices now seek a sleep that scopes,
Odd yet unseen the passage strange;

Incline dear heart the vital tact,
Charm knows the way in hidden poise;
Embrace the art that harbours act,
Sense sleepy days in restive choice;

Face the odd range in rustic bloom,
Arrest warm heat and seed new dreams;
Death feels so strange in wintry gloom,
Enter due wit ere new life streams.
