Autumn Leaves Are Falling
Autumn Leaves are Falling
By Elton Camp
It is at this season every year,
Praise of leaves I begin to hear:
“In them I take such a delight.
Red and yellow, oh what a sight.”
Such praise I cannot give
In the place where I live.
When fall comes around,
Leaves here just turn brown.
It doesn’t give me any thrill
They will fall and gutters fill.
Into the yard they float down
And make a mess all around.
Those who for fall leaves so care
And dote on their beauty too rare,
Aren’t the ones who have to rake
And end up with arms that ache.
