I love that word. It so aptly describes the way leaves "skitter" across the lawn after they fall.

Clever Poetry shared here from you Milton. Love the theme and creativity in this Poem. The imagery says it all, but the "Autumn breezes sighs," is the icing on the cake reflecting the result of the dying leaves. Very clever and another favorite for being so clever a Poem. Two today from you. Your muse is running on all cylanders. Enjoyed reading...

First thing I think of when I see them is I'd better start raking, a clear sign that summer is over. Tom

Me, too, Tom, but unfortunately I cannot rake, so I have to hire them taken care of. Luckily I have someone who does the job very well.

I love the slow and fast motion, and also the sigh in this lovely haiku, Milton. :)

Thanks, Kim. It's the best word I could think of that describes what those leaves do.
