Autumn Gives Warning

The season is changing as the Summer green has been played
To the bright colors of Autumn with a pure golden grade

Days begin to shorten as dusk pulls the shade
Children stop their play as playgrounds lose their light
And homes are soon lit against the coming night
Creatures scurry as day continues to fade
And lovers recall Summer promises made
With adoration above what may be right

Autumn gives warning
Hard times are coming and soon
Golden colors are death throes
Hard times are ahead
Winter takes the unready
Enjoy the Autumn, my friend
