Notes About The Poem
Contest : Autumn Flowers Sponsored by: Anthony Bianco 5/10/15
Autumn Flowers
A crisp chill in the air, not being warmed by the sun.
I hear rustling, a sure sign that autumn has begun.
Lingering leaves of gold, frolicking in the autumn wind
My love of Autumn blooms its gold leaves will never rescind.
Green turning golden far and wide across the country side.
Autumn’s beauty is truly Mother nature’s glorious pride.
As tangerine and bright ochre leaves, gracefully dance,
The dahlias and carnations brightness will surely enhance.
A field of daisies in rainbow colors, sway in the crisp air,
A kaleidoscope of colour is forming most everywhere.
As roses and marigolds bloom to perform a seasonal quest.
In flourishing displays, geraniums and orchards are at their best.
As the Autumn wind strengthens the performance takes flight.
Leaves dashing and dancing and spiraling, it’s a wonderful sight.
Caught by a whirlwind, small petals rise and flutter about.
Chrysanthemums sway to the melody not to be left out.
