Autumn Dreams

Autumn dreams in russet hues
Against the ending summer blues
Drifting on a gentle breeze
Rustling softly through the trees

Settling on the dew tipped grass
That sparkle colors, crystal glass
Gold and amber, crimson leaves
And all the sights the mind perceives

Summer’s curtain call is here
Bowing out another year
Making way for winter’s birth
Autumn dreams upon the earth
