Autumn Dawn

Heat linger like a lover

but you know

the time has come

for the seasons to change

your smell on my skin

reminds me of

so much more

than sex, wine

and dinners gone cold

so many stories in

my head untold

of unconditional love

surrendered in moments

of sublime submission

a paradigm shift in reality

awakens me to so much

life lived

content we are

to slip into whatever

comes next
