Autumn Child
Autumn is beginning to wain
She is trying all she might
To sustain her position
But November is soon to birth
And crying out
To be huddled to the fore
Autumn leaves are still falling
She scoops them up
And scours them around
As far and wide as she can
While the earth is somehow still
She keeps winter today from the door
She wishes for its appearance
But only when her time is done
Allowed only a moment in the world
A season, just days
To make her self known
She begs for more time to shine
Seasons are such beautiful
Beings
Autumn seems the shortest sibling
She is the unknown child of winter
Please allow her, her time...
