Autumn Chase - Three-Headed Haiku Contest

Tumble leaves; fall,
golden red and yellow streaks:
a leaf's farthest reach...

Calico clouds, glow:
beauty's limit impeached,
shift and shade as seas...

Sun seasons life's taste,
autumn, encirc'ling in space:
winter's promise; chased...

Okay, so the contest is October Skies. This is my first haiku attempt since third grade; that said, it's subject is more 'inspired by' October Skies and what entails them. Artistic liberties taken-sorry SKAT. This was a lot of fun though! I'm afraid I have either underestimated the power 17 syllables or have lacked the creative confidence to best utilize each of them... A journeying man, wars with words, armed with syll'bles; bleeds in the abstract...
