Autumn

Spider webs are laced in silver
Grass shimmers like frosted glass
Leaves are crunching under the feet
Of people as they pass

The world smells crisp and clean
And my breath hangs in the air
The branches of the trees reach up
Autumn has made them bare

I love those autumn mornings
When everything feels brand new
All the colours are bright and bold
And the skies are clear and blue
