Leaves of orange, brown, ochre and gold twirl and swirl in autumnal breeze This golden gown drifts to the forest floor. Tree shivers as limbs exposed yet her vibrant shawl blankets the ground until it's composted to earth

What a beautiful picture of Autumn. Your poem fits the picture so well. I am a New England girl and I am so lucky to have seen so many scenes like this in my life. Thanks for sharing the picture and your poem.

What a beautiful autumn write dear Jan. Love it - and the gorgeous picture pairs so well with it. Such delightful, vivid imagery to celebrate your favourite time of year. ‘ This golden gown drifts to the forest floor’, ‘ vibrant shawl blankets the ground’. Gorgeous, poetic lines. One of your best yet! Happy Halloween my lovely over there in The Isle Of Man- I’ve always wanted to visit the islands. Hugs and smiles :):)

Remember, when you visit the supermarket, Jan… Humus and hummus are quite different mouthfuls. Smashing autumnal write.
