Auto-Inflicted Torture

One day I woke up and started
hating myself.
I could've tried harder.
Someday I will dwell on the
past.
I only seem smarter.
With seconds to spare.
I'll peer through the looking
glass.
If only I'd bother.
My judgement is foggy.
Mentally blocked.
This comes as a shocker.
I keep thinking it over.
Reliving the past.
It isn't much clearer.
It's a step on a clover.
Thinking it over.
My disturbing demeanor.
It's an ignited mental scorcher.
I'm getting much warmer.
This auto-inflicted torture.
That's finally over.
