Autobiographical Note 1

late, unnatural,
and made in chicago.
city-bred all over yesterday.
an irate ashanti,
in the ducts and alleyways
of tomorrow.
awaits the god-type,
the omniscient zulu;
the stone;
the voice of america
in black english.
