Australia Day Mystery
It’s just a photo of three children
Playing in the sun unaware I am certain
Of what happened on that day
When innocence was lost you would say
A hot day on the Glenelg beach
Was supposed to be with danger out of reach
But they disappeared not going home
And since 1966 their whereabouts are not known
There have been soothsayers brought in
And a parade of detectives who inquired on this mortal sin
Where factory floors have been dug down
But no body or clue was ever found
The latest suspect is the satin man
Whose life included a deviant plan
Do you think he was the offender here
I think there is evidence pointing to him quite clear
The parents of the Beaumont children have passed on
Not knowing where they had gone
The satin man is also dead
It’s time for the story to be known and read.
