Auspicious

This year Chanukah and Christmas 
start at the same time 
The night of December 24th 
Marks the beginning of the festivals 
This must mean something!
Both holidays celebrate
the power of light 
which is essential 
to human life 
Way back in time 
our ancestors 
learned to create fire 
and could then 
stay up at night 
reciting tales and dancing 
This was a true miracle 
and a true miracle 
and an important beginning 
for man;s future 
The stars must be auspicious 
this year 
When the two great festivals coincide 
The people must give up hate 
and take joy 
in the miracle of light

My daughter is believing some hocus pocus theories this is the year when catastrophe will strike after the holidays. Geeez, I hope she is not right about that! I got your great little XMas pack.
