Aurora Borealis

Her canvas is the pitch black sky on cold, dark winter nights When Mother Nature, in all her glory, starts to paint the Northern Lights Charged particles collide with atoms way up in the thermosphere Resulting in colors of the aurora borealis, seen both far and near Swirling lights of green and red, dance across the midnight sky The ballet caused by a geomagnetic storm – majestic to the eye The Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora, shares her beautiful name With this phenomena of Northern Lights, adding to the Arctic fame
