August Heat

August heat used to send us to the river to fish in the scorching heat we would go stand under the trees maybe swim then move upriver I'd bait the hooks the boys were babies and we'd fish mud up to our knees brown from so much summer sun and starving for dinner.

Beautiful imagery here, Veronica. We had our worst August heat here in Oregon that I can remember in 30 years ... thought it would never end ... very unusual and its finally cooling down but still no rain in the "rainy NW" ... smile ...
