August

Have you ever tried too hard
Do you ever feel as though
Life is bared
Have you ever tried too hard

Now I know you
As yesterday
August sleeps
The mood
The scenery
It’s all for keeps

It’s like
Loving a widower
The calming storm
The descent
Your life
Is your own
When August sleeps

I can not tell you
When I’m
Coming home
But I will see you
In a while

Have you ever tried too hard
Do you ever feel as though
Life is bared
Have you ever tried too hard

Songs fading within my journal
