Audubon's Birds

"Dear, you never dress this way for me.
Is something going on that I can't see?"

"I put my bright plumes and feathers on
to pose for John James Audubon."

Very clever indeed! And what an artist Audubon was with his exquisite and lush paintings. I think he would be rather pleased with this tribute you have penned him, David. Yes - very pleased! :) john

Thanks, John! I read a child's biography of Audubon almost 60 years ago when I was about 8. I don't remember the specifics, other than that I was inspired, and that he drew birds. Now, my son and his wife are birdwatchers, and I just checked out a PBS documentary on DVD about Audubon and will be watching sometime this week. Can't wait!
