Au Teur

au teur…
     (apropos spike)

stage two
act three
enters
you:
action g!

just dead bodies
in the bloody streets
over which we marched our feet
trying but failing to stop the follies

the unjust cannot
give up justice
a birthright
stolen from the dead:
coked
chocked
shot

yet
from sea to shinning sea
we’re still here
transcending
ever to be free
our seeds unending
and immune to all imposed fear

ok
now got to do the right thing
through any means necessary
higher learning reigns
people are now ready
we’re rocking steady
plymouth rock is gone
and we’re claiming our own
floating and stinging
freedom ringing:

that’s a rap!
no more crap!
