Attention Feed

The nit-natter chatter of thoughts
circled their drill to dissipation and silence
then in reaching their pause
gave undetermined panic a question
who is watching
who is listening
is anyone paying attention

The echoes tempo of frustration
and the greedy anxiety of self importance
let loose their martyrdom
there must be someone
how to latch upon the drum
and in such momentary enthusiasm
can grab anyones attention

Perhaps some off hand remark to cease upon

So every-thing is cared for
neatly stored
spik span
and in their demand
the neat little things reply
I am loved I am

Yet still it comes nagging
the absent lack of attention
causes the fraught to create dissension
pay attention
the martyrdom in its greed
designs with elastic speed
the attentions need from anyone

The nit-natter chatter is becoming breathless
gasping attention it needs
attention it breathes
and desperation lurks on the periphery
someone pay attention please

And around the go round on run around go
choose a comment for anger or flattery
but for god-sake
pay some attention to me
give me a reason to believe
anything please
to twist me from this silence
where there is only self importance
where there is only my attention
