Atop Mountains
We stand atop the mountains,
We gaze in wonder at the seas.
We drank from the fountains,
So we can love for eternities.
Soaring amongst the clouds,
We find a moment of clarity.
Dancing amongst the crowds,
We have the chance of prosperity.
Forever holding the other,
Against any unknowns.
Destined to be lovers,
In a world neither of us owns.
I can see the universe shining,
Sparkling in your brown eyes.
The stars begin lining,
A mystical devotion in the skies.
An affection growing since the end of days.
Time passes ever so quickly before us two,
We’re now old and gray, yet we still hold each other until the end.
Always have, and always will love you,
You’re my beloved, my best friend.
