Storms, those storms, do appear At times with thunderous roar Sweeping through darkened skies That shake the earth to its core Dark clouds like mourner's cloaks Gather, charcoal gray despair Lightning flashes, dances across A blackened atmosphere They've unleashed their fury Send down torrential rain Dripped-dropped upon rooftops Raising up angry Cain

typical description of a storm, but what i thought was great about the anger of the storm is that you compared it to 'Raising up angry Cain.' Hope you are keeping well. Blessings and hugs, Jennifer.

Why, thank you, Jennifer. Sometimes there is anger inside just like what seems to be going on in a storm. Thanks for the nice review of my work. I am well after a really bad night. I need all the blessings I can get. Sara K

I enjoyed your wonderful "At Times" write/ending. I have been in many really bad storms. I remember one time my dad opened the car door and water came running out. Stay safe... Have a blessed day writing away...............

Paula, That was some deep water for the water to be running through the car. I don't think it has been that bad here except in low lying places and flood prone areas. Thanks for the visit and taking time to comment. Sara K

I always get really scared when theres thunderstorms. And its been pretty stormy here too. Your quatrain flows so well and is so well written. So descriptive and picturesque. I can see lightning dancing and flashing through your words. Sending you light always.

Why, thank you, IE. Sometimes our fear can be made worse when possibly our parents, teachers, or our grandparents have been overly cautious in the face of storms. And if a person ever experiences a really bad one there is reason to be afraid and extremely cautious from then on. Thank you for your visit and nice comments. Sara K

Kim, mixed emotions for sure when they come sometimes some terrible destruction, sometimes injuries, and sometimes death. Thanks for dropping by . Sara K

enormously descriptive lines, Sara K. I can relate to the fury of the storms, whether winter or spring. A polar vortex is heading our way bringing high winds and blustery cold--a perfect scenario for winter tornadoes and storms. Enjoyed the read...have a great evening, Sara

Sara B, I wonder if the storm has passed for you out there in Texas. The systems that hit out there have been coming to us this winter but usually also pulling moisture from the Gulf into them bringing us a lot of rain. Thanks for stopping by. Your visits are appreciated. Sara K

Wondrous storm poem, Sara. It reminds me of the summer storms we have here in North Carolina. Have a splendid evening. ~

Regina, one exception it is winter and it is cold air coming through pulling up warm air from the Gulf which brings the rain then cold air is falling in behind it. The situation can create tornadoes in the winter. Thanks for dropping by and for the nice review of my work. Sara K
