At the Same Time

A thousand things can happen,
In the heat of any moment,
As we become so trapped in,
One another like we own it...
Straddling positions,
Complimenting what the other,
Gathers with conviction,
To sustain the other lover...
Like waves we mimic oceans,
That exist within our minds,
Combining every motion,
With the innocence of time...
So nothings left or wasted,
Also nothings left to chance,
And everything we've tasted,
Gets much deeper than the last,
As you become your lover,
And your lover becomes you,
There's something you discover,
At the same time that they do...

Beautiful write Terry! I like the thought of simultaneous realization. When lives become tangled it can be hard to know where one starts and where the other ends, it takes a moment to put things in focus. Well written poem!
