At the Pawn Shop

At the pawn shop, once again
it has been rough, to say the least
I've been broke since the first of the month..
and I don't get money for another two weeks.
there are two people ahead of me...
an hour ago there were four
all i can think of while standing here
is all the *****I've lost before
jewelry or tools...whatever they'd take
to pawn or maybe sale
one time when i was standing in line
the cops came and took someone to jail
sometimes I see an old friend
sometimes I meet someone new
I guess it is safe to say...you just never know,
what a trip to the pawn shop might lead to
