At the Mercy of the Sea
Oh heaving blue colossus
Untamed entity,
Halcyon days portray you
As a calm and gentle sea.
Yet but in a heartbeat
You change your mood and form,
A black and dreadful beast appears
In raging, vengeful storms.
Sailors dare to test you
The foolhardy and the brave,
Those who take you lightly
Take their folly to their graves.
When sailing on the briny
Who knows their destiny,
For when one ventures forth,
It's at the mercy, of the sea.
