At the Edge of a Dream

The sound what a sound
What a rumbling kind of sound
I hear deep-in-the-ground-sound
An earthquaking sound
Coming closer now the sound
Coming, I fear to tell me

Something is falling
From the sky it is falling
For eternity falling
Bright object falling
Faster-now-faster falling
Falling, I fear upon me

This phenomenon is called "Hypnic Jerk" more common among people with sleep disorders and/or the elderly

here is a very interesting one I somehow never saw before. I hope I never dream this one!! They'd call me chicken little. yes, that was my Mustang that I put into the poem, but sadly, the Mustang is long gone. Or maybe you saw my Mitubisi. I traded that one in for the Kia three years ago.

Could be "chicken little" too, she had a hard time with the sky falling as I remember. I never knew about the info in your explanatory line.
