At Rainfall's End

At rainfall’s end
worms wriggle on sidewalks . . .
robins' emergence

Ain't that just the way, eh? I was rooting for the worms in the second line ... then came the third. The visual in this poem is so easy to picture. That's what haiku is about ... inviting us into those moments.
