At Eternity's Gate
Standing at eternity's gate,
I wonder about everything I've accomplished,
Everything I spent my life for,
Everything I contributed my sweat for,
But when these things flashed before my eyes,
My life,
There was no animosity,
There were no laurels,
There were no trophies,
There were no medals,
But instead,
There were my peers,
Winning over my greatest fears,
I saw my friends,
The ones that stood by me until the end,
There were the people I love and care for,
The ones I truly love and adore,
Watching my life flash before my eyes,
Made me realize,
There's more to life,
Than just getting recognition in public,
You need to raise yourself in your own eyes,
Not caring about the rest,
But trying to make best out of waste,
Standing at eternity's gate,
I took a vow,
Never to settle for less,
Or bargain for more,
But enjoy and cherish whatever you have,
And live your life with L'Amour
