At Day's End

May the peace of evening

enter in, when all is put to rest.

Today's door, let it close.

You've done your very best

Tomorrow, you'll begin again,

to start another day.

But now allow the peace of God

to refresh your soul, I pray.

(Mt. 11:28-30) "...Come to me you who are weary...
and I will give you rest for your souls."

Thanks, Gordon, I'm overjoyed that we share similar feelings about our God, and have a relationship with Him. He is my friend, and praying to Him is like talking to Him at any time of day. I'm reading your poems, too, and I'm glad I found you here, my friend, because I'm new to poetrysoup. (Here about two weeks.) Let's keep in touch. :)
